| Your Undies Can Get You A New Job |

"Ok?" I nervously responded.
I wasn't sure if Chris was suggesting that I fling them around in an interview as if I was at a Robbie Williams concert??? But I was prepared to hear her out as I was lost in an abyss of uncertainty of what I wanted to do with my career.
I had a great job as a copywriter in a fantastic agency, working with an awesome art director but I was ready for a change. I just didn't know what the change was.
Chris' first question was "What coloured undies are you wearing?"
"Black" I responded, to which Chris grimaced.
Chris told me I should be wearing orange because it's a "fantastic colour when you want to change your life and your career". So my orange undies crusade began.
Now the next part of this story is no word short of a word of a lie. I'd be wearing orange undies for 16 days when I was in a brainstorming session with a client who mentioned that I should speak to an innovation company called? What if! the more he told me, the more excited I got.
We wrapped the meeting and I went back to my office and looked them up. And it was exactly what I was looking for, even though I didn't know it.
And now, I'm writing this in my new? What if! Office. I'm an Innovation Coach and I am having an absolute ball and most importantly I jump out of bed every morning and sprint to work.
So the moral to my story is that I believe my undies can change my life and if you give it a go I bet you'll have your own story.
(Oh and for those of you who are interested I'm not wearing orange undies any more, they're pink....if you want to know why ask Chris!) |
